As part of the Bureau’s contribution to the nationwide Bayanihan efforts of the government and the city’s COVID-19 Taskforce, the Bureau of Customs, Port of Davao donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) last March 31.
After the eight container vans containing various medical equipment arrived at SPMC, Customs Davao has again donated four boxes of PPEs to SPMC.
Through the extended help led by Customs Davao District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino Austria, these PPEs will help the SPMC health workers as they persistently perform their duties in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the region.
“The Bureau has always been responsive to the call of duty. Today, we give our full commitment in providing the needed help and assistance to our medical frontliners, volunteers and the City Government of Davao.” Atty. Austria said.
Meanwhile, SPMC Medical Chief, Leopoldo Vega expressed his gratitude to the donations of BOC as these will add up to their current medical facilities for their frontline workers and patients.
In counting, the Office has donated eight container vans of various medical equipment and 4 boxes of PPEs to SPMC.
