Several aftershocks hitting Davao Region since Tuesday night caused trauma and panic among students of Crossing Bayabas National High School in Davao City Wednesday morning.

Aftershocks were recorded Wednesday morning that resulted to a stampede in the said school.

About 70 students reportedly suffered from dizziness and nausea due to trauma brought about by the continued tremors.

The 911 EMT, PS8, BFP personnel, volunteer rescue groups and Toril Police Station Alert Team immediately responded to the area.


Initial investigation disclosed that said students experienced extreme fear that cause them to stampede towards lower grounds after an earthquake that took place at about 8:30 AM today.

Presently, an incident command center is established in the said compound while responding elements are attending to the victims with several of the victims were already brought to nearby hospitals.
