LOOK! Two Philippine Monkey-Eating-Eagles are on their way to Singapore.
Eagles Sambisig and Geothermica will be showcased in the “Flight of the Eagles: Davao to Singapore”.
The Jurong Bird Park of the Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) will be the new home of the two captive-bred eagles for the next 10 years.
The loan program that the Philippine government signed aims to save the genetic stock of the eagles from catastrophes and diseases that can potentially wipe out their species.
The Philippine eagle is considered as “critically endangered”.
The two birds of prey also have their own passports for the said trip.
