HVT IN ILLEGAL DRUGS WITH WARRANT OF ARREST CUFFED IN IGACOS

Camp Sgt. Quintin Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City– Davao del Norte Police Provincial office Provincial Director, PCSupt Allan Manibog said that in our relentless campaign against illegal drugs, an identified High Value Target was arrested in IGACOS by virtue of warrant of arrest.

On October 2, 2018, Personnel from Intelligence Branch together with personnel of IGACOS Police Station served the Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Leo Tolentino Madrazo of 11th Judicial Region, Branch 11 against Gwendolyn Manalili Chong, 29 years old, male, married, Office Staff, DCPO HVT- level 2, and a resident of Villa Josefina Subdivision, Matina, Davao City for violation of Section 5, Article 11 of RA 9165 or otherwise known as the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Further, during the arrest, confiscated from the possession of Chong is one caliber .45 pistol, ARMSCOR 45 bearing serial number 273395 with magazine loaded with eight live ammunitions. Upon verification, suspect failed to present documents authorizing him to carry and possessed such firearm and ammunitions.

Criminal offense for Violation of the RA 10591 or the Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunitions will be filed against the suspect.

PRO 11 Regional Director, PCSUPT Marcelo C Morales has this to say, “Justice delayed is not denied but is served. Rest assured that the members of Police Regional Office 11 will continue to be on hunt to those with arrest warrants and committed to their sworn duty to protect the innocent victim. ”
