Presidential Communications Office Assistant Secretary expressed her willingness to resign from her post Wednesday morning.
The controversial official said that she has decided to resign from office so as to expedite the approval of the budget of the PCOO for 2019 which is presently under deliberation.
The PCOO budget deliberation has been suspended several times because of Uson’s absence in the deliberation hearings.
Uson said she was in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly thus her absence.
Uson said that it has been a “yearly practice” of some lawmakers to defer the approval of PCOO budget because of her being in the said office.
She hopes that with her resignation the PCOO budget would now be approved.
