Sec. Bong Go of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President never forgot the warm welcome that he and President Rodrigo Roa Duterte receives from Zamboangueños every time they visit Zamboanga.
That is why, Sec. Go didn’t hesitate to join them in celebrating the start of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival held at the Agan Coliseum in Zamboanga City on October 1, 2018.
In his speech, Sec. Go emphasized that one of the priorities of the Duterte administration is the health of every Filipino. Hence, he announced that Zamboanga City will be the next location of a new Malasakit Center.
He added that the Malasakit Center will serve as one-stop shop composed of several government agencies which aim to provide medical and financial assistance to indigent patients especially senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
Sec. Go also bared that numerous infrastructure projects are already lined up in Zamboanga City, including the construction and improvement of Ayala-Lapaz Road, upgrading of Siocon-Sirawai-Sibuco-Limpapa Road and the ongoing expansion of Zamboanga Port.
After delivering his message, Sec. Go received a Token of Appreciation from the local government unit for being the guest of honor and speaker during the event.
