Sara grateful for latest senatorial survey, maintains she opts to remain mayor

Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte expressed gratitude to the people for their continued confidence on her which placed her in the Top 5 of the senatorial hopefuls who would make it to the 2019 elections.

Based on the latest result of the Pulse Asia survey, Senator Grace Poe emerged as the top senatorial bet out of 1,800 registered voters surveyed from across the country, with an overwhelming 70.1 percent voter preference.

She was followed by Senator Cynthia Villar, Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetano, Senator Nancy Binay, and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

In a released statement Sunday, Mayor Duterte said that she is “overwhelmed by the trust and confidence”.

“I think our fellow Filipinos are interested in the work that my administration, both now and in 2010, has done in Davao City. If the Dabawenyos will re-elect me, I would like to continue working for Davao City as Mayor. Thank you,” said the mayor.

Here is the list of the top 17 senatoriables. The list represents individuals who “would have a statistical chance of winning” the senatorial elections:

12. Mar Roxas 37.7

17. JV Ejercito 26.7

They led in a roster of 66 probable candidates for the May 2019 senatorial elections, based on the survey held from September 1 and 7.
