Suspected armed robber was killed inside Panabo City Old Public Market, Brgy. New Pandan, Panabo City around 2:30A.M today.

PCSupt Marcelo Morales, Davao Regional Director disclosed that one of the suspects identified as Patrick Dibalucos Perez, 20 years old resident of km 22 ptk 15-B Budbud, Bunawan Davao City who fired towards responding cops which prompted a shootout with police elements that defended themselves by shooting the subject. The neutralized suspect was positively identified by the victims who was one of those two (2) person onboard in a raider J115 suzuki color red single motorcycle harassed and grabbed their bag. The victim were able to escaped and run to a nearby food chain and inform the guard who also immediately endorsed them to the nearest PNP patrol post #4 for assistance who acted upon the call and together with mobile team they chased the suspects and resulted to armed confrontation.

One of the suspect is atlarge but one of the wounded suspect was immediately brought to Somozo Hospital by Panabo Emergency and Rescue Services (PEARS) for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect were improvised firearm (sumpak) loaded with one live bullet of .45 caliber and recovered one (1) bullet of .45 from his left front pocket.

Recovered pieces of evidence will be submitted to Regional Crime Laboratory Office 11 for examination.

“This operation shows the effectiveness of public’s cooperation in fighting criminality. Their active participation, trust and confidence hastened the neutralization of criminal and giving abrupt justice to the victims of crimes,” Morales said.
