A fun ride event was launched by the Army in Davao City Sunday June 10, 2018, 5:00am.
Themed “Alang sa Kalinaw sa Dabaw”, the 1003rd Raptor Brigade of the 10th Infantry Division launched the “Ride for Peace”, a motor biking and cycling activity open to all enthusiasts.
More or less 300 participants from within and outside the unit’s area of responsibility took the 53- kilometer challenge of the hilly road stretch which started from barangay Malitbog, Panabo City, passing through Paquibato District area, and ended at the Headquarters of the 3rd Infantry Battalion in Malagos, Calinan District, Davao City.
The said event was graced by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte in a simple program at the end of the activity in Malagos, Calinan District.
“This is simply about the fun of the riding event” says Brigadier General Ernesto C Torres Jr, Commander of the 1003rd Brigade. “In gist, this is a manifestation of the collective effort of the people of Davao City for peace and development. It shall provide an opportunity to experience and appreciate the beauty of Davao City specially its hinterland areas of Paquibato which is now conducive for further development. It will bring hope to every Indigenous People of Davao who are longing for peace, progress and prosperity.
