TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Persons for 2018 is set to be announced today, April 19.
Since the readers’ poll started last March until April 17, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte remained within the top 20.
Leading the survey is Korean pop group BTS followed by Southe Korean President Moon Jae-in with 17% and 5% of total votes respectively.
In third place is former US President Barack Obama with 3%. In the group with 2% of the total votes were Kendrick Lamar, Millie Bobby Brown, Chloe Kim, Serena Williams, J.K. Rowling, Rihanna, Parkland Students, Beyonce, Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars, Oprah Winfrey, the Dreamers, Stephen King, Jimmy Kimmel, Rodrigo Duterte, Pope Francis, among others.
The selection of the TIME 100 will however be made by the magazine’s editors. Last year, Duterte made it to the 100 list alongside jailed Senator Leila de Lima.
