President Rodrigo Duterte is now on the 15th spot of the TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Persons for 2018.
Based on the latest update of the readers’ poll, Duterte’s percentage of “thumbs up” votes is now 38%, a big jump from the previous 17% just few days back.
Leading the poll is still the Korean pop icon BTS with 16% of the total votes cast, followed by South Korean President Moon Jae-in with 5%.
Former US President Barack Obama comes in third with 3% votes. Rounding up the top 15 with 2% votes each are actor Hugh Jackman, singer Beyoncè, Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, Hollywood child actress Millie Bobby Brown, pop singer Rihanna, TV host Oprah Winfrey, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Parkland Students, athlete Serena Williams, singer Shawn Mendes, The Dreamers, and Duterte.
The voting started on March 28 and will end on April 17.
